Terms of use, kept brief.
Nine numbered sections covering the website, the shop, ticketed events, and what to do if something goes wrong.
-
The site.
This website is operated by Warburton Waterwheel Inc. (trading as Yarra Valley Waterwheel), an Australian incorporated association (ABN 57 883 412 990). Use of the site is governed by these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
-
The shop.
Items in the shop are made by independent makers and stocked on consignment. Pricing is set by the maker. Stock levels reflect what’s on the shelf in real time; we make our best effort but very occasionally an item is sold in person before the website updates. If that happens to your order we’ll refund and apologise the same day.
Returns: any item can be returned within fourteen days for any reason, in saleable condition. We refund to the original payment method within five business days.
-
Workshops & ticketed events.
Tickets are non-transferable but can be cancelled for a full refund up to forty-eight hours before the event start time. Inside forty-eight hours we’ll refund if we can resell the seat; otherwise we hold the fee toward a future event.
-
Visiting in person.
The Hub is a heritage building. Some areas are uneven, some are accessed via a single step, and the wheel pit is gated for safety. Please follow signage and ask any volunteer if you’re unsure. Children are welcome but should be supervised, especially near the leat and the wheel.
-
Intellectual property.
Content on this site is © Warburton Waterwheel Inc. and the contributing makers / volunteers / photographers, except where attributed otherwise. You’re welcome to share editorial content (Stories, History) for non-commercial purposes with credit; for anything commercial please contact us first.
-
Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
-
Disputes.
If something goes wrong, write to us first — most things are resolved with a phone call or an email. If we can’t resolve it together, disputes are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and we agree to mediate before any other action.
-
Changes to these terms.
We update these terms occasionally — typically once a year, or when something material changes. Significant changes get an email to members. The “last reviewed” line at the bottom shows when the current version was published.
