The Rainforest Gallery is an elevated boardwalk and observation platform on the western slope of Mt Donna Buang, around twenty minutes’ drive from Warburton along the road to the summit. A 350-metre walkway leads through cool-temperate rainforest to a 40-metre observation platform suspended 15 metres above the canopy of Cement Creek.
The structure is one of only three of its kind in Australia, and the view it gives you — eye-level with the upper crown of myrtle beech and mountain ash — is hard to find anywhere else. Below the platform a separate 700-metre loop track follows the creek through tree-fern gullies.
Free to visit. Wheelchair-accessible from the upper car park. Mosquitoes can be persistent in summer — bring repellent.
