[DRAFT-REAL] Yarra Ranges National Park

Yarra Ranges National Park stretches from the edge of the Yarra Valley vineyards north and east into the foothills of the Victorian Alps. It protects significant stands of Mountain Ash — the tallest flowering trees in the world — along with cool-temperate rainforest, dozens of waterfalls, and the entire upper catchment of Melbourne’s drinking water.

The Warburton end gives you Mt Donna Buang, the Rainforest Gallery and the Acheron Way; the Healesville end gives you the Black Spur, a sinuous drive through towering Mountain Ash that’s a touring favourite. Park lookouts at Mt Donna Buang, Mt St Leonard, and along the Acheron Way each have their own character.

Snow play is possible at Donna Buang in winter when conditions allow. Most of the park is dog-free; check the Parks Victoria site for the latest closures before you set out.
