The Warburton Golf Club is one of those courses that visiting golfers remember out of all proportion to its size. It runs along the Yarra River below the township, threading through native bush and old stands of timber. The mountain rises behind almost every green and on a clear day Mt Donna Buang is in view from the higher fairways.
The course is open year-round and walkable; carts are available for hire. There’s a fully stocked pro shop, a small bistro and bar, and lessons can be booked with the resident professional.
Visitors are welcome any day of the week — call ahead to check tee availability on competition days.
