A heritage building, kept as open as we can.

A plain-talk statement of what works, what doesn’t, and what we’ll do for you if you tell us you’re coming.

In plain language

What we mean when we say accessible.

The Hub is in an 1898 brick mill on a working high street. Most of it works for most bodies; some of it doesn’t, honestly. Where there’s a workaround we’ll find it; where there isn’t we’ll tell you that too.

If you’d like to phone ahead — about anything — we’ll meet you at the gate, bring out a chair, lend you binoculars, or print a 24pt copy of the exhibition guide. The number is below; the kettle is on.

Accessibility

Welcoming for as many bodies as we can.

A heritage building with the limits that come with one — but most of the Hub is on the level, and we'll meet you at the gate if you tell us you're coming.

The website

WCAG 2.2 AA, target.

This website is built to WCAG 2.2 AA — semantic landmarks, alt text on every image, keyboard-reachable navigation, focus-visible everywhere, contrast that holds in dark mode and at zoom-200. We test with NVDA on Firefox quarterly; the working group fixes anything that turns up.

If you find something we’ve missed, the contact form has an “accessibility” intent — please tell us. We’d rather know.
