If you can hear the crunch of gravel beneath your tyres and feel the cool mist of a temperate rainforest, you’re exactly where you need to be. The Gravel Unravel Warburton is coming to the valley, bringing a dedicated cycling festival to our corner of the Yarra Valley. It isn’t just a ride; it’s an invitation to explore the rugged beauty of this landscape on two wheels.
You’ll find yourself navigating through some of the most stunning terrain the region has to offer. The event features three distinct routes, meaning you can choose your own level of adventure. Whether you are looking for a shorter loop or a serious endurance test, there is something designed for your pace. You can pick a route ranging from 46km all the way up to 99km of epic gravel roads.
The scenery is the real star here. As you pedal, you’ll wind through lush temperate rainforests and traverse the sweeping, dusty roads that make the Warburton Valley so iconic. It is the perfect way to spend a Saturday immersed in the natural rhythm of the mountains.
The festival hub is set at Mac Sparke Oval and the Alpine Hotel in Warburton. This makes it easy to transition from the grit of the trail to the social atmosphere of the town. After you’ve conquered your chosen distance, you’ll be right in the heart of everything, ready to celebrate your achievement with fellow riders.
Mark your calendar for November 28, 2026. If you are coming from Melbourne, it is a beautiful drive through the hills, and once you arrive, the valley is waiting to be unraveled.
Head over to the Cycle Hub website to secure your spot and choose your route.
